Premium Financing

Loans to finance insurance premiums are made to commercial customers of insurance agencies. The loan proceeds are transferred to insurance companies to pay for the borrower’s insurance premium requirements. The insured’s loans are financed over a flexible payment schedule, with repayment being secured by APFC holding the power of attorney to cancel the insurance policy if the insured fails to pay. If needed, the cancellation proceeds of the unearned premium are applied to the insured’s premium finance loan balance and the remaining proceeds are returned to the insured or agency.
